Welcome back!
The coffee tasted good, and after finishing it, you go back to the living room. Deciding that it would be unwise to leave the unwrapped gifts where Lucy could find them, you start carrying them into your office. When you are done, the gifts are secure in a room with a shut door and you wonder if you will ever see your office furniture again. Smiling, you return to the shrinking pile of still wrapped gifts and start again.
